Physical Rate Level
Note that everyone's perception of "difficult" or "easy" is relative! PATA PERU had people complete a trek and say it was easy, while another persons on the very same trek found it to be one of the most challenging (yet rewarding) physical feats they'd ever accomplished. There are many factors that influence your perception, including your overall fitness level and your attitude about traveling and camping in a foreign country. The elevations at which our treks take place add a layer of difficulty in and of themselves.
ALTITUDE & ACCLIMATIZATION
The Altitude in this region affects different people in different ways, but common symptoms of altitude sickness include headache, nausea, lost of appetite, trouble with sleep, and lack of energy. To help prevent altitude sickness, we recommend you always remain well hydrated, gradually expose yourself to higher elevations, exercise moderately until altitude acclimatized, and get plenty of rest. Most importantly, we suggest that you arrive in Cusco at least 2 to 3 days prior, Because altitude issues are intricately tied to dehydration, once in Cusco you should increase your fluid intake as MUÑA tea (tastes like mint) or Coca tea, makes you feel better, limit alcoholic beverages, caffeine, and aspirin, which tend to dehydrate your system.
The Rainbow Mountain or 7Colors Mountains; located in South América: Peru, in the Cusco southern región, that will satisfy to the most demanding trekkers and will get unforgettable memories as sumptuous panoramas of high mountain, formidable glaciers and crystalline rivers, lakes, peaceful pastoral scenes of the herds of spangled and alpacas kept on by Andeans and multi-coloured clothing, This new route off the beaten path in a day trip, is a true adventure, through a nature preserved and wild, where the only meetings gonna be by Vinicunca the “The Rainbow mountain”, Pucapunta (red mountain) and small communities of Quechua-speaking-Inca descendants. The route achieves a circuit of scale, passing by collars located between 4710 and 5200 masl, then turn over to the starting point of the circuit. Exploring on this remote path, you will see few or seldom any trekkers, so you have this southern extension all to yourself. However, Vinicunca one day is able to offer travellers a hiking alternative that is second to none!
